The one gift that sets us apart from other creatures is our ability to learn.
We are able to invent and improve, to discover and adapt, and then to analyze and organize the information in a form that can be preserved and communicated to many people across many generations. The business of learning is one of the ways we experience what it is to be human.
In the care of the elderly, who struggle to master the basic elements of everyday life, who fight despair and loneliness, Home Care Aides provide stability, promote independence, establish companionship, and encourage self-care with grace and respect. Their honest work makes up the muscle of our communities.
The value of providing usable, skills-based trainings to Home Care Aide staff is immeasurable. Staff development is key to staff retention and job satisfaction, which improves productivity and enhances the quality of the service line.
Home Care Aides daily work in the homes of our elderly is a ministry to our communities and trainings empower them to effectively deal with difficult individuals and situations with tact, firmness, patience and humor, enabling Home Care Aide personnel to maintain a balanced perspective on their work and strengthening their witness so their clients receive the care they need with joy and dignity.
LAMUS Consulting aspires to be a companion on the journey toward uplifting Home Care Aide staff, encouraging them to always reach toward enhancing their skills and inspire their confidence; to partner in leading Home Care Aides to work for the common good, stand fast in competent, quality care, and embrace educational opportunities.
The prophet Isaiah wrote, “Morning by morning you waken my ears to listen as those who are taught.”

So many seniors lives are enriched by the people who care for and about them. Thank you for doing this good work.
